About
An Israeli app born from a simple frustration: why should logging a meal be a project?

As a software developer trying to watch my weight, I looked for a calorie app that didn't feel like a form in English. I couldn't find one that understood Hebrew and local food, so I started building one.
We connected an AI engine that turns a free-form sentence into foods and estimated nutrition values. The diary stays on the device; the meal description is sent to Gemini or the DeepSeek fallback when analysis is requested.
CaloTec-AI went live on Google Play: calorie tracking, step tracking including Health Connect, water and a rewards system. Free, ad-supported, in five languages.
The app is available without a subscription and displays ads through Google Mobile Ads.
Your diary, weight and goals stay on the device. The meal description is processed by Gemini, with DeepSeek as a fallback; the result is stored in the local diary.
Send feature requests and bug reports by email or through Google Play reviews.
Download it, try it, and tell us what to build next.
